Spinouts Community Event – Refine Your Pitch Deck
December 7 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
The Center for Research Innovation (CRI) primary role is to safeguard Northeastern’s IP. Secondly, we help Spinout companies, startups that are based on our IP, in their success.
Our goals for these events are also twofold: first, they serve to educate and expand Northeastern knowledge of the venture ecosystem. Secondly, they are to create a community for us, so that we can easily identify new IP, Spinouts, and people from our ecosystem.
This is the third event that we will hold, and the second in-person event.
Join us at Northeastern University’s IDEA Lab on December 7th for the “Spinouts Community Event – Refine Your Pitch Deck,” aimed at supporting early-stage startup founders in developing their companies. Guest speaker Lily Macomber from Scroobious will share her expertise in crafting effective pitch decks and nurturing startup communities. Hosted by the Center for Research Innovation, this event offers founders a chance to present their pitches and receive community feedback.
Lily Macomber: At Scroobious, Lily works directly with early-stage startup founders, particularly those who are underrepresented in the startup ecosystem. As the Community Lead, Lily is responsible for partnerships, customer experience and success, and community nurturing. A serial early employee, Lily has spent her career in venture-backed startups and has a robust knowledge of operating early-stage companies. She has an MBA from Babson College and has spent her career in tech working directly with founders on their narrative and investor strategy which influences her perspective on providing more than just financial support to startups.
