The Spark Fund targets early stage ventures and technologies; awarding up to $250k investment per opportunity.

I-CORPS

I-Corps prepares scientists to identify valuable product opportunities arising from academic research, and gain skills in entrepreneurship.

ENTR 4505, “Entrepreneurial Growth Strategy for Technology Ventures”

Student teams in this class create business plans, financial projections and inventor packages for early stage ventures. Inventors who would like assistance from a team should contact Professor Kevin Scanlon.

    NUCEE ALPHA PROGRAM

    The NUCEE Alpha Program is
    For Northeastern or other technologies. Applicants must form a company and can be pre-business plan.

      Government Funding

      SBIR

      This grant is for small businesses with promising commercial technologies. There are eleven participating government agencies

      Funding:
      Phase I – Up to $150,000
      Phase II – Up to $1,000,000

      STTR

      Small business must partner with a research institution, which is awarded at least 30% of the total grant.

      Funding:
      Phase I – Up to $225,000
      Phase II – Up to $750,000
