Grant Writing Support
The CRI provides partially subsidized grant writing support through partnerships with leading non-dilutive grant preparation partners. The Grant Writing Support program is designed to fuel the growth of spinout teams ready to embark on their venture journey.
The Grant Writing Support program empowers Northeastern spinout companies to pursue grants and secure non-dilutive funding effectively.
Criteria for Eligibility
- Demonstrated desire to spinout

- Must be incorporated
- Licensed IP from Northeastern or option agreement in place
- Initial company materials prepared outlining commercial readiness/business plan/go to market strategy

- The venture stage must reflect readiness for team formation, fundraising, and/or launch

- Spinout must have a business lead or PI must be ready to engage a business lead
- Commercial readiness—technology or suite of technologies must be ready or almost ready for corporate or professional capital engagement

- Clear roadmap with major milestones for next 6-9 months

ECs support the CRI’s portfolio companies by advising them on business and product development. ECs can connect these companies with interested corporations and investors, focusing on those ready to go to market and raise capital. Our ECs have many connections across different technology sectors and continuously expand their network to benefit early-stage companies.
