Researches collagen, the fibrous protein constituent of bone, tissue, cartilage, tendon and other connective tissues. Collagen creates highly optimized, load-adapted structures which can heal, grow and remodel. Studying the kinetics of collagen assembly informs engineering methods to produce highly-organized, load-bearing materials comprising fibrillar collagen.
